Finding a practitioner

You should always consult a practitioner who is qualified to prescribe herbal remedies or acupuncture treatments and if you are unsure you can check with the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine or the European Herbal Practitioners Association.
It is also advisable to consult your doctor before taking any herbal remedies if you are pregnant or have had hepatitis or other liver diseases.

Most Chinese herbalists in the UK have trained first as acupuncturists and members of the Register or Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM) tend to be also members of the British Acupuncture Council. They are bound by a code of practice.
